The Internet of Things, Bring Your Own Device, Software-Defined-Networking, even BYOIoT; IT media is abuzz with revolutionary innovations that surface on a daily basis. Of course, some of them are genuinely disruptive and will radically change the way we work, but which can we do without, which will outlive others and what’s next on the hype cycle?
Following research calls with our current members, The IT Innovators Club will be making this question the topic of our Ignite Innovation evening. The Ignite Innovation ‘Hype Cycle’ discussion will be cutting through the white noise around these technologies and open the debate on which areas we need to invest in and which we can afford leave by the wayside.
Much of the hype surrounding the majority of these solutions is invented by the very people trying to promote them and as a consequence it becomes increasingly difficult to differentiate between crucial and frivolous solutions. Gartner’s Top 10 Strategic Technology Trends for 2015 include Computing Everywhere, Software Defined Architecture, the Internet of Things, Insight Analytics and Cloud/Client Computing, but which do you see as being crucial to the development of your business? And what can we expect next?
Join us at the Manicomio, London on 6 August where we will be making these questions the centre of debate. The evening is a great opportunity to participate in relevant discussion and meet peers over a glass of wine and canapés. The format involves an initial introduction to the topic followed by a refreshment break. This will then be proceeded by a panel discussion on the topic which will be opened to the floor for you to share your thoughts.
If you are an IT Leader wanting to candidly discuss the true trends of the next few years with your peers then please register below.
